Our first breakfast at Caesar Park Hotel and the buffet spread was pretty impressive.

Some food that we ate:

After eating, we went to the bus terminal which was a walking distance from our hotel and took bus 1815 to Yehliu Geopark. The bus ride cost NTD96 and the journey was one and a half hours long. It took us about ten minutes to walk from the bus stop to Yehliu. It was alright walking there, except for the fact that it was raining.

Our next stop is Keelung. We took bus 790 there which cost NTD30 and the journey was around forty minutes long.

Our lunch was at Jian Jia Oyster Pancake along one of the streets there. We ordered their specialty oyster pancake for NTD40, pork ribs soup for NTD 40 and a plate of glutinous rice for NTD30. All were reasonably priced. The oyster pancake tasted quite different from those in Singapore. Quite unique. We did not like the pork ribs soup as it was kind of minced and did not taste nice. The glutinous rice tasted quite normal and is similar to those found in Singapore.

After a light lunch, we headed to Jiufen Old Street (九份老街) by bus 788 which cost NTD30 and the journey lasted around forty minutes as well.

After trudging through the streets in the drizzle, we finally found the all time favourite Ah Gan Yi Taro Balls. Thankfully, the queue was quite short. It cost NTD50 and was alright except for the fact that it was too sweet.

Breathtaking view while eating.

After the warm dessert during a chilly day, we took our leave. We headed towards the nearest bus stop and boarded the same bus to Ruifang Railway Station. It was a short distance hence the bus driver did not charge the passengers. From there, we took the train to Shifen Railway Station which took about forty to forty-five minutes.

Some tourists releasing sky lanterns!

After exploring Shifen, we left for Raohe Night Market and Wufenpu at Songshan Station. We had dinner in a restaurant situated along the streets of Raohe. We ordered a bowl of chicken rice for NTD40, two bowls of sesame noodles for NTD40 each, a bowl of sesame chicken soup for NTD190 and a bowl of black chicken soup for NTD180. It was indeed a satisfying dinner, having warm chicken soup on an extremely cold night. After eating, we headed to Wufenpu for some shopping time before heading back to our hotel.
