iridescence: Taiwan Day 3

Taichung High Speed Rail - Taipei High Speed Rail - Taipei Main Station (Caesar Park Hotel, Mita Pasta) - Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station (Guanghua Digital Plaza) - Xi Men Station (Xi Men Ding)

We had breakfast in our hotel. It was a buffet once again. The food was quite alright.

After that, we checked out and headed for Taichung High Speed Rail. From there, we took the HSR to Taipei. Our hotel is directly linked to the HSR station and the MRT station- Taipei Main Station, and which is extremely convenient. We checked into Caesar Park Hotel before having our lunch in a restaurant called Mita Pasta at the basement food area. We ordered smoked cherry duck pizza for NTD268 and spaghetti with seafood in pasta sauce for the same price but we made it a set meal so an additional NTD88 was added. I was pretty impressed with both items. This restaurant has quality food at a reasonable price.

Next, we went to Guanghua Digital Plaza at Zhongxiao Xinsheng station to get some electronics items. Personally felt it's much better and larger scale than Singapore's Sim Lim Square.

Afterwards, we headed to Xi Men Ding at Ximen station to have dinner and do some shopping. We tried the popular Ah Chong Flour-rice Noodle for NTD50. It was nice but I didn't quite like it as I felt that it was too salty. We also tried a Korean restaurant called 釜山韩国食堂. We ordered ginseng chicken soup for NTD420 and beef slice bento set for NTD220. Beef slices were well marinated and tasted good. Ginseng chicken was soft. However, the soup was quite salty so I kind of dislike it. After a filling dinner, we hit the shops. After awhile, we stumbled upon a humble cafe called Oven Coffee along one of the streets. It had a nice interior and the food items were reasonably priced. Ordered a cup of latte for only NTD60. With a cozy environment, it's indeed a good place to chill and relax. After that, we called it a day.
